Meet Price Sonkarley MD

Hello, I’m Dr Price Sonkarley, a Board Certified Otolaryngologist here at Mark Montgomery ENT. I was born and raised in Oshkosh, WI. Being from Wisconsin, I’ve always been a huge Packers fan and love Wisconsin sports.  When I turned 18, I left the cold of Wisconsin behind and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. There I traveled the world spending time in the US (California, Florida, Texas, and Virginia), Japan, and defended my county in Iraq during Operation Enduring Freedom. After serving my enlisted time, I used the GI Bill to attend the University of Wisconsin – Madison. There I doubled majored in Psychology and Biology with an option in Neuroscience. I continued my medical school education there receiving my Doctorate of Medicine. From there, I moved on to the Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) practicing medicine and honing my surgery skills in their Otolaryngology Head & Neck surgical residency.

OUHSC is recognized for its Head & Neck surgery department which was headed by world renowned Head & Neck surgeon, Dr Jesus Medina. I also received extensive training in Functional Endoscopic Sinus surgery both for inflammatory disease (i.e. chronic sinusitis, recurrent sinusitis, and nasal polyposis) and skull base tumors. Currently, I’m the only Otolaryngologist in SWFL performing combined ENT and Neurosurgery approaches to skull based tumors. I also treat allergies and will continue advocating for immunotherapy and sublingual therapy for our allergy patients. Having small children of my own, I continue to see pediatric patients for common ENT issues such as recurrent ear infections, enlarged tonsils, and nasal congestion.

I’ve been in SWFL and resided in Naples treating ENT patients since 2019. My family and I have fallen in love the area, and who wouldn’t. The beaches, the food, and the people are amazing! I have two children with my wife Robyn. Avalon is my little girl and Phoenix is my son. They both attend Preschool of the Arts in Naples. My family and I love boating and looking for dolphins in Naples Bay. We have a saltwater aquarium at home and always come to Bonita to check out the aquarium and look for new fish.

I’ll be continuing the great care Dr Montgomery has established here in Bonita Springs for the past 20 years. As he has transitioned into retirement, I have taken lead of the practice and will continue taking care of you and your families.  I’ll enjoy getting to know you as a patient and also as a person.
